turbo priming

Hi all,

Right my turbo showed up today all sparkly and refurbished, been looking online about priming it with oil and what not and still don't know the best way.....
Is there anything I should/shouldn't do when it's all fitted again and what not??

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

just get a plastic syringe and feed some oil in the top then wait for it to come through. Also spin the turbine by hand to coat the bearings.

When it's fitted do the same again then turn the engine over a few times with the coil packs unplugged so it can't start. This will get some oil flowing before it fires up properly

Disconnect your injectors when cranking? You wont flood the engine or get fuel all over your cat.

Most people ditch the cat because it's very restrictive :wink:

I run a 200 cell sports cat and it still fails emissions, I don't want to go de cat just because my sports one was expensive

I've never flooded the engine but you can disconnect the injectors as well if you want
