I will clear it up for you mate - with facts !!! ( I have had superchips on my MK6 GTI on 2 different rollers)
Superchips map is mild. Yes you get nice torque increase in the low to medium rev range but does drop off quite bad near the top end (especially if you dont have a decent intake to provide more air)
When i had superchips it ran an average of 221bhp and 224bhp on two different rollers (both in spring time, so not overly warm)
Now bhp isnt the be-all and end-all but obviously it helps with power figures. When on superchips the car drove quite nice, but never felt really great.
When i saw Revo had a winter sale on and i would save a massive 30% coming from superchips i couldnt resist. So i stuck a Revo map on in January, its about the same as superchips upto the mid range, but everything over mid-range Revo just blows it away and keeps pulling hard all the way to redline.
Since then i have been on the dyno and got a 276 bhp average, so it just shows how under powered superchips map is in comparison. plus it had like 40+lbs more torque as well.
If you happy with the way it drive and happy with a mild map then stick with it, if you want more aggressive map then look to change.
