careful with ebay, rather go with amesome GTI or a known seller. ebay is full of crooks!

I'll have a look there as well! These guys got the exact order that I was looking at and had no problems otherwise I wouldn't bother with eBay

thats cool but if its with techniclutch for example then there have been issues with other members as well as other people who have bought from them, i'd suggest looking at independant reviews on google, type the guys name or company name with 'review' at the end and should give you an idea

Funnily enough I have been in touch with a local vw performance specialist and he mentioned that he has tried to fit two techniclutch  flywheels and they both havnt fitted! He is going to get me a price for supply and fit with all the bolts needed ect and that will give me a rough idea. Also I've had a couple of price's for the clutch kit from the local auto factors. Just to clarify it's the 3 part vr6 clutch kit?

Cheers for the advice!

It's solid mass so only 2 parts I thought? Looking at about 260 for a good buy from a reputable company and that's Sachs or just get those items from vw and I think they're cheaper then

Sorry I'm not sure if I was clear. They call it a 3 part clutch kit not including the g60 flywheel. I'm guessing they are calling the two plates and bearings the 3 different parts

i may be wrong but i think the orginal clutch comes in 3 parts where as the upgraded and cheaper 'in the long run' option is the single mass VR6 and G60 clutch upgrade which are also good for running higher power

i'll be getting the single/solid mass as seems to be a better option unless i go crazy and get a sports clutch good for upto 400BHP which lets face it, is silly

yeah just looked thru the reciepts i have read up one or two things about techniclutchs clutches and some of the write ups are less than favourable  :undecided: been told in a reply to my post that it could be a fault with the plates springs,so time will tell i guess lisa
