I'm exactly the same as GTI7me. My front left suspension creaks, squeaks and groans whilst manoeuvring at low speeds (say 0-15 mph). My Mrs calls it the creaking ship

I don't like that it makes this noise but I'm putting up with it because; (a) Can't really be arsed taking it to the dealers (b) It's not that bad that I'm too upset by it (c) Hoping that is disappears by itself [read head in sand].

Will mention it at first service if the problem is still there.

100% with you on not that bad and can't be arsed, but almost comically now the honeycomb grill issue is fixed to now reveal (assume it was masking it) a deffo sus low level pattering then squeak on the front left.

As you say garage when the times right.

Got the same issue on the GTD, squeaky/creaky front nearside it's been getting worse, typically the time I went to the dealer and out for a drive with a mechanic it was behaving itself but it's got worse since and will be going back. The car was put on the ramp to check for pucks but nothing

The suspension mount bearings can be knackered without the presence of pucks on the struts, more likely to squeak in the dry, so get it back in, it's a common issue on Golfs with Sports lowered suspension.

Just got back from the dealers, squeaking all the way. VW wont touch my car, in its modified state, I said I had no problem paying but they say its company policy not to go near a car that had anything changed, sounds like bull to me as I asked it they could service it when the time comes and they said yes!

Anyway, unsurprisingly i have failed to find out what it is. I have asked an indy to price up changing the suspension bearing mount so im hoping its that Monkey and its a nice simple fix.

The warranty should only be void on the parts you've modified I'm pretty sure. Smells of bull. Dealers don't wanna touch this problem.

Slightly off topic but did Shark do your remap and which one did you take it to? DTUK is the same company right?

Yes it's a very squeaky car. I've managed to fix the main squeak by opening the cover that hides the phone cable.

What have you had modified? If it's suspension then you're out of luck, but if it's a chip or box, try another dealer.
