whining noise from fuel tank car drives fine 2.0 16v

As title says very loud whine after driving for five mind I have done just over 300 miles with the noise and no problems does any 1 know the cause and what do I need to fix.

(b.t.w this is just the pump itself, you need to change the carrier unless you want to buy complete pump with carrier for a bit more)

it may be ok for a while but who knows how long, usually first sign of failure is noise!!

Agreed, my first 8v went the same way with sudden increased noise before snuffing it at 60mph on a duel carriage way - not amusing.  :angry:
