correct radiator fan operation?
« on: 12 February 2014, 13:31 »
Hi

I'm concerned that my radiator fans aren't operating correctly on my mkiv 1.8T climatronic. At 90 degrees in Econ mode (ie aircon off) they still aren't on.

Would someone with a 1.8T climatronic tell me at what temp their fans start in econ mode.

Thanks

Hi Thanks for the replies but my question was 'at what temp should the fans come on in econ mode'?

At 90 degrees mine still haven't started and I don't want to over heat it just to test this.

Thanks.

90 degrees is the temperature it should be at not sure of the exact temp as long as it's not going above 100 then there should be no issue! Mine sits at 90 always and I only hear the fans if I sit idling for 5 mins
