Wheel Bolts

So, finally got me some wheels however i am preempting the wheel rub on the fronts and have got me some 5mm spacers however i need to know the best bolts to use with them. never really given it much thought but now i hear tell there are certain ones to steer clear from. any help would be appreciated fellas


Mk4 Golf 1.8t AUM, Wintersports Addition. PiperX panel filter, 008p Forge DV, Toyosports DP 3", Miltek Anni Style CatBack non resonated, APR Sport CAT 200Cell, Catch Can RS4 Reps 18s, OEM R32 front and OEM

you need ones that are 5mm longer. I got mine off ebay and they came with the bolts.
AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

but arent there differences in different type of bolts, i.e. some are stronger than others etc

standard length bolts are fine with 5mm spacers

As Wazzzer says, standard bolts are fine, I ran mine for thousands of miles without issues.

And as dom and wazzzer have said before running standard bolts with 5mm spacers is fine i too ran mine with standard bolts for awhile,as for different types its mainly the seating type ie taper or ball seat

What wheels have you got, should be easy enough to work out the bolts required.
