Recommend me a hot hatch around 200bhp
« on: 05 February 2014, 16:48 »
I'm looking for a new car but undecided on what to get ,

My budget is 4 but want to spend sub 4k if I can but that's my max

So far I've viewed

2003 seat leon cupra r -210 £3500

Others I'm considering

Civic type r 01-05
Ibiza cupra

Just wondering what else I could consider as when I search I can't find anything 3-4k near swindon that's around 80k with a good history ect

I have considered the vr6 mk3 but want something more modern and mk4s don't do it for me

So what do you recommend me , and yes I know this is a golf forum before you all hunt me down lol

Thanks

Have a look at this, imho you not gunna find many cars that are more fun than this, also it will put a smile on your face as not much will keep up with it being 0-62 in 6.6 sec.

Good points
* Handles amazing
* Very fast
* Full service history
* Good mileage only 50k
* Registered 2005
* Xeons
* Lovely interior

Bad points
* Might be abit out of your way
* Will hurt your wallet on fuel
* Colour = impossible to keep clean
* Gear stick in horrible place
* Right on the end of your budget

Not a clio fan never trusted Renault ,

The civic type r is probably second choice after a cupra r but if that was closer I would have gone for a nosey but 123miles is too far for me probably 50-60 miles is my max distance for looking at cars

I test drove a Civic in 2002. It was a blast, but something told me it would get tiresome. I bought a Leon Cupra instead and loved it.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Honda civic type r ep3 would be the only car I would consider around 200bhp

But you can get a evo for 4k and a m3 evo with 320bhp for that. And trust me they make hot hatches cold

Running costs not *really* in the same league, though, are they?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Yea I still would like to maintain 30 mpg when I i occasionally drive carefully ,

I wouldn't say no to a fast saloon to be fair just the cupra r caught my eye and that got me looking at hot hatches
