Vw mfd to fis cluster information required please

Hi guys thanks for looking, I got the mfd version g and the full LCD fis cluster for my golf mk4. I don't know if anyone knows but would I need to get the tmc box to allow the sat nav information to appear on the fis cluster or is it just wires?
