Golf GTD ESP fault
« on: 02 February 2014, 19:12 »
Hello could someone help me out,

Just purchased a golf gtd and started car and esp fault message appeared and had a little shudder going on! Quickly turned ignition off and then back on and car was fine,

Any ideas what problem may be or should I take to garage to be checked out?

Thanks

Mine doesn't do it

I'd say it could be a sign of low battery voltage causing it to throw a warning message after start up.

Get the battery checked.

I have to agree with Dan.B!
It may be a known fault but having had the ESP fault flash up occasionally on ign switch on (even after a long journey) after installing a new battery mid November last year it hasn't happened once since!
Mk VI Black Pearl GTD.... No Frills, replaced a Black Pearl PD150 Bora, which in turn replaced a Dragon Green VR6 which followed a Dusty Mauve MK III 8v Gti.
