Drove home tonight and set the fader further back in the car, you can really appreciate the sub then. DynAudio still impresses me  :smiley:

What settings do you guys use for the Mid, Treble and Bass on the DynAudio settings? I can't seem to get the perfect combination. I listen to RnB, House and Trance mostly.

In the end, if you can't hear the difference, then it is not worth the money...

If you can hear the difference but don't spend much time in the car or don't care then it is not worth it...

I can hear the difference, and I spend plenty of time in the car and I care... it is definitely worth it for me...

Its all down to personal preference... in the end the difference between standard and Dynaudio systems is quite stark only you can decide whether the difference is worth £530...

I can't remember exactly what they're set to currently, but I believe treble and bass are down a few notches and mids are up one or two. Sub is also down 1 or 2 increments. Makes Thunderstruck sound awesome. Really nice authentic snare/ tom/ bass drum sound. Wicked.

I find I have to keep tweaking these depending on the genre of music though.

I'm a huge music fan & must say that I'm not that impressed by Dynaudio at all. The sub in the boot is weak and the door panel speakers do all the hard work. Most songs are impossible to listen to with the bass turned up and so the only way to fix it is to turn the bass down quite dramatically. Which seems pointless when you've bought Dynaudio.

Certain songs that sounded amazing on the standard system in my old Mk5 GT TDI now sound frankly quite poor & distorted. If you turn up the volume you just can hear a lot of bass and no actual rhythm or music. I love bass and I listen to a lot of dance music but I'm finding it really hard to find the perfect balance between bassy & audible.

The speakers seem to suffer from rattles and distortion at high volume too which makes me wonder what the tweeters are actually doing.

can't fault mine..maybe its a music thing..I have been listening to metallica this afternoon (black album) and it sounded quite frankly astonishing!

This could be worthy of a thread itself but here's my setup. I consider this to sound the best, I drive alone most of the time and the bias towards the rear makes it sound a lot nicer;

Are you selecting one of the 4 profiles such as Authentic and then setting Individual EQ settings? Reason I ask is that it's not clear whether the two are linked.

I don't think you can change EQ on the profiles, I've just left mine on Individual...
