Go for Dynaudio because between standard speakers and Dynaudio speakers is big difference and Dynaudio has subwoofer. I must say Dynaudio system is great and no comparison to standard system in MK VII.

It's worth getting in my opinion.
Definitely worth the £530 asking price. :)

Oh the age old question: "is dynaudio a worthy upgrade?" This as been debated more times than I can remember!

You can either take the advice of the guys on here, or, better still you can go and sit in a car which has it specced and see for yourself. Only you can say whether the cost is justifiable for what you get.

Personally though, I've specced it on both my GTD and the Mk6 before, and wouldn't be without it. Superb sound quality and crystal clear throughout the full volume range. Pink Floyd never sounded so good! (In a car..)

I came from the current VW Polo with standard RCD510 audio and two Mk 4 Golfs with standard audio before that. I now have Dynaudio and I would say the difference is simply NOT worth it.

If money is no object and you have all the other options, then go for it. But IMO Dynaudio is one of the few disappointments with the Mk7.

You may also want to compare after-market audio improvements which may well offer better value and better quality...

I'd like to echo these sentiments, DynAudio seems to be as debatable as the Dynamic Chassis Control and Performance Pack.   The fact is, you have to try it for yourself and decide.  The GTI demo I had was fitted with DynAudio, when I got back I sat in the sales guy's GT which had the standard system.   After listening to the same track in both, I added it to my order.

The one thing to stress is that it's not about volume, it's about depth and clarity.

It's about having depth and clarity, yes, but an equally important aspect is having the ability to have depth and clarity remaining consistent throughout the volume range. Lesser systems can buckle under such demands and distort, clip, or resort to a general mess of muddy mids. One of the things I love about the Dynaudio system is that my music sounds superb at any volume, the setup handled it with ease and never sounds like it struggling.

That's my opinion anyway.

I'm no hi-fi geek. I'm no expert. But I specced Dynaudio and have NOT regretted it at all. The sound is so rich, deep, and crystal clear - it makes the music you enjoy even more enjoyable. I haven't compared it to the standard speakers in the mk7, but compared to all my previous cars with standard systems, it's just 100% better.
It's a revelation to have a throughly good sound system, so I would definitely recommend it.

Totally agree. My point was that people who judge it just on how loud it can go are not judging it correctly.

I see, in that case then I completely agree!
