Gti. I have had 430 on motorway run with tuning box. I always get no less than 380 unless I hammer it and still get 360.

What does your computer say about average MPG?

About 370-390 for me.

Mostly work commutes which largely consist of motorway travel. MPG for a tank normally comes in at 34-36.

Tried both 95 and 98 RON and don't get any noticeable difference.

Thanks for your replys - my GTD only gets a little over 400 per tank.

I'm on a 3 year lease so when that's up I'm going for the GTI.

Out of interest the tank ranges your quoting are they with a heavy right foot? I'm not a top speed king but do you enjoy hard acceleration......a lot!

Hard acceleration - flat out to legal limits, if it was the GTI would I expect less than 300 miles from a tank?

Both my MK5 and MK6 GTI's returned around 250 - 300' to a tank, Golf R was 200 - 220 the worst being 180 on a hard long run, long term the GTD will be a lot more economical it will also have a stronger residual over 2 - 3 years, to me it's all about what you prefer.

GTI, DSG - I'm getting around 380 per tank. Mostly motorway and decent A roads.

Lifetime avg mpg hovering around 36 mpg (and that's using almost constant ac). Not bad at all for the power on tap

Thanks for the reply - so potentially with a GTI and a heavy right are we talking 250 or less p/tank - it would be good to know as I'm company car driver I wouldn't want the embarrassment of explaining how the fuel spend had doubled going for a GTI!!
