front passenger door speaker not working

Well one day speaker stopped working had stereo out nothing there had speaker out all wires are Ok I checked door plug seems good anything els it could be.

I know you said you checked the plug but did you check the wires inside the rubber bellow between the door and plug. My drivers door one was broken when I got it. Failing that if you're still running the stock speakers it may well have died. ...thryre bloody old now.

I have after market plug and play sonys I will attempt to get that rubber apart to have a look tomorrow thank you.

It unscrews from the A pillar. Well just a slight turn

Yup, gonna be broken in the door rubber thing.... had 5 broken wires in total there on my 2 mk3's over the years...

To true, my last golf had a piece of special cable put in both doors and boot.
It snaps inside the insulation most times and you tend to break others playing around with it :grin:

Have you checked the wires yet? I'm going to have to look at mine soon, driver side not working although I have original speakers still. May try pass side speaker in driver side as that still works, if that's easier to do than check inside that black rubber piping
