right guys drum role!!!



it is a bent rod its sitting about 1/4 inch lower than the rest so good diagnostic by most! now for the painful part of fixing it! what would you do fix it or replace the block?

it is a bent rod its sitting about 1/4 inch lower than the rest so good diagnostic by most! now for the painful part of fixing it! what would you do fix it or replace the block?

Remove the bent rod and assess the condition of the oil squirter. When you bend a rod the piston will contact the oil squirter (this is the tapping noise you were hearing), depending on the severity of the bend it can snap the squirter off, the remainder can be a pain to remove. I'd fix the engine you have, new set of rods and it'll be good as new.
