tyre pressures

Spooky, my fuel filler cap says 39psi front/rear normal, extra loaded 42f/44r 

So I've stuck 37 in front and rear to start with as don't want mega hard ride  the tyres only had 26psi in them, bloody dealers !

I also found the front Falken f453 tyres say max pressure 40psi ?

Vw dealer put them on new but surely they shouldn't have if the tyre doesn't meet the criteria of the car or is that just being overly critical ?

Haha, I had a feeling yours was going to say different.  Logic would suggest somewhere between 38psi and 41psi then, so 39 sounds about right.

I've been struggling with this one also... The fuel filler only quotes 18" rims. But going on what was previously suggested its weight of car not rim size. I use 40psi front and rear. I check these around every 2 weeks and they probably have lost 2 or 3 psi in that time.

Well after all this, ive decided 37psi front and back, think the fuel filler flap is to unreliable to go by, plus vw will want to get as best mpg they can when tested so probably on the hard side....

19inch glens with 42psi in imo is very uncomfortable.
I have ACC - put 41psi f/r turned it to sport ride and its like driving on wooden wheels lol, normal mode is better and comfort is okish. down to 37psi and its better so will stick there,,,,, being honest I was driving at 28psi for last few weeks so don't think its that much of an issue tbh.
How do you guys cope with 19's and no ACC ?? maybe my bones are getting old lol

Agree, tyre pressure stickers unreliable.  I've always thought 41psi (what mine states) was a bit high.  I'll go 39 or 40psi at next top up, think I'd find 37psi too soft.

I have ACC too.  It does soften the ride a bit, though I use normal mode about 70% of the time.  Find comfort setting a bit floaty at times.  I don't mind a firm ride but rarely use sport mode as the roads are just too awful - driving on wooden wheels is a spot on description.  I wouldn't want 19's without ACC!
