Whatever the sticker in the fuel filler flap says.

The recommended pressures are what are required to support the weight of the car, regardless of the size and shape of container, i.e. the tyre, the air is in.

My gti with 18in monzas is 2.6 bar (38 psi) if that helps.

Yes, check inside fuel cap.

As I said Matty, it doesn't matter what size tyre you have. Pressure is pressure whatever size of container it's in.

ah ok, I will have a look in the fuel filler flap when I get home...

On another subject, dealer cock up may mean I have to get rid of a pair of BRAND NEW (stickers still on them)
Pirelli p-zero 225/35/r19 88y RUNFLATS as glendales are not runflat rims....

any pointers on best place/way to do this (think they rrp £220 to £260 a piece) I only want about £180 a piece collected but hate ebay... wonder if there any other forums anywhere worth offering them too ?

cheers for any advice

Pottinger, I'm on 19" Glendales and it's 41psi (2,8 bar) for normal load and 44psi (3,0 bar) for fully loaded car (as shown on fuel filler cap).  Same for front and rear.

Course you've got the extra weight of the Ed35 wing badges to factor in

BMW forums might be worth a try (they use runflats).

Not sure how welcome you'd be joining a forum just to sell something though

Spooky, my fuel filler cap says 39psi front/rear normal, extra loaded 42f/44r  :undecided:

So I've stuck 37 in front and rear to start with as don't want mega hard ride  the tyres only had 26psi in them, bloody dealers !

I also found the front Falken f453 tyres say max pressure 40psi ?

Vw dealer put them on new but surely they shouldn't have if the tyre doesn't meet the criteria of the car or is that just being overly critical ?
