Stuck rocker cover!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys iv got a mk4 1.8t aum golf gti and have a leaking Rocker cover gasket, iv had att the bolts out and coil packs ect and tryed to pull it off but it wont budge no matter how hard i pulled it wont move an inch has anyone got any ideas how i can get it off with out breaking it?? any help would be greatfull

try mans best friend a big hammer and a block of wood but double check you have all the bolts  :smiley:

thanks dude will give it a try was abit worried about breaking the cover but worth a shot, iv done afew but never had this problem before like

Dont need to use the hammer. I know you said you removed the coilpacks but have hou removed the sparkies?? Not sure if they stop the rocker from comming off but worth a try. Double check all around the rocker you might have missed a bolt

Plugs dont stop the rocker its prob been diyd with silicone instead of a propper gasket try a small flat ended pry bar try tapping it in and lever it gently

There will be 3 bolts at the back and there will be a bracket in the way. Get a flat head and pry it from each corner it will come but it also on threads. You need to pull it straight up or it won't come off
