Euro do the coils for £25 each,

Wazzer is bang on though, check with the dealer weather your car is on the recall.
Keep the old coil pack as they will only replace original coils.

have a full set only a week old from euro that we replaced with a genuine set baxxy had for sale as the eurocrapparts bits made the car run like a bag of spanners  :grin:

No the ARZ doesn't have one. You should check if your car is part of the recall with VW

really I didn't think an old beast like mine would be available for recall

If it's any consulation I'm having the same grief with my 02 plate and I've replaced the plug just in case... No change!! Did your engine managment light come on and does flash on/off when driving??

have you checked to see if your coil packs have been replaced under the recall they had  :smiley:

They do honor the recall on old cars.
Plenty of mk4 owners are still getting them done under the recall

i just called vw and they told me that the recall was done on 17/02/2011 but I got the car on 12/02/2011. I don't believe that the car was done and how lond does a coilpack last? I hope more than 2 years

Fixed!!! Happy days again thanks for all advice. Shall be back next month with another problem
