Anyone with Panoramic sunroof..

I prefer the dark interior, think the sunroof doesn't look as good on any car that isn't black or white, and am also too tight to pay for it! Usually a problem down the line and well out of warranty with rain ingress etc - but that'll not be your problem!

I'm with Monkeyhanger - never seen the need for a sunroof... I too prefer a dark, snug interior and can do without being 'flooded with light'. And as for the price: £900  !!!!

I'm so sorry Jimble I forgot to check the sunroof again until it was too dark!! Between Christmas shopping and my middle aged memory I can't seem to remember anything these days

You are not "flooded with light" the sunroof is very very tinted and it has a blind that you can close inside the car which blocks the sunroof out entirely if you so desired.

The benefits of having the sunroof are that it look's incredible even when you're not using it. It really splits up the roof and makes it look so much better. I disagree entirely with it only looking good on certain colour cars. It looks incredible on my Tornado Red GTI.

The sealant is very neat where it meets on mine Jimble. It was too dark for the photo to come out well though but I used the phones flash and could see it was very straight and perfect.

Here's a photo of my car at Midland VW having the wheel alignment checked and I think the roof looks beautiful with the sunroof.

I have to admit mate the tornado red looks stunning with the sunroof.

^Thanks for that mate   I personally really liked the sunroof that was on my GTI hence i'm considering adding it to the R but £915 is a lot of money, it was an easier decision for the GTI as the cost was within my budget comfortably but i'm having to pay a bit more for the R already.


It's another one of those heart and head decisions...

I agree, it's a shame VW don't offer standard sized sunroof's as I would have bought it.
