Hi all,

Need a little help on whats needed to keep the standard arches on a 1990 16v from eating my tyres on Design 90's, was thinking of buying all four at 6" as opposed the 6" fronts and 7/8" rears and using 195/45/16's and a make with hardly any sidewall? Would they look like bicycle wheels viewed at the rear?

Will be getting it lowered in the near future, but again which set up do I get to help prevent rubbing, not after to low just a touch -30? .. .My friend had Spax shocks and springs in he's Rs turbo and it gave about the worst ride EVER(like a skateboard) so not getting Spax, any info would be appreciated

Thanks Guys and Gals   Dave

hmm, this is going to be close me thinks. 6" with the adapter will be close one it's lowered. You can go -20mm on a valver with the longer length Eibach springs. They come in two drops.. Look at the www.awesomegti.com

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

If you can get a full set of 6" wheels then i dont think you will have any problems. My fronts are 6" with standard arches running very low on coilovers and 30mm adaptors ET25. The rears however are 8" ET25 and 30mm adaptors and my arches are cut and rolled.

Thankfully havn't got to buy 2 sets,as i've found a set of 6's ..

Not sure of the going rate but will probably end up parting with £200  plus adaptors ohh plus those shiny metal centres  -  err and tyres!! Feck was going to get BBs Rm's but thought there a few quid at this rate I could get either   :undecided:

Thanks for offers to buy other set or even swop a set - glad im on this site seems friendly..

Hopefully may see some of your cars at No Rice meet on sunday as I live in Brighton so will be coming even if my Bloody cars not fixed ( fuel pump now!!)
Thanks Dave

That seems quite cheap. Are they standard or polished?

Not sure if thats cheap or not (standard for now) as need to put tyres on as well, but didnt really think about all that when i was armed with telephone and the plastic    its just those little metal shiny centres that do it for me, really wanted coloured centres but they'll have to wait ....
