key problems
« on: 27 November 2013, 16:03 »
hi everyone, i have recently bought a mk 4 2002 golf 1.8t gti and im having a lot of problems with it. a problem that occured today was that i started the car and the key can be removed from the ignition with the engine still on, i had a mk 4 gt tdi and im sure you couldnt do that on that car. does anyone have idea how to fix it ? the key looks shabby and a bit bent. im looking in to getting a new one cut. do you think that will solve the problem

Cant see a new cut key would make any difference either.

Best get a new ignition barrel made up from VW dealers, won't be cheap
