Hi everyone,
I'm new on this forum and I need some help. I've just got a
GTI MK5 and it's got the standard RCD 300 or 500 (not sure which one) with the
VW 6CD changer under the armrest in the centre console.
I don't want to install any wires in the glove box by opening up the dashboard and plugging in extra cables etc, all I want to do is
pull out the 6 CD changer and pop in an iPod dock in a plastic centre console tray that is exactly the same size.Question is, can I do this by simply unplugging the CD changer and then plugging in the cable from the iPod dock? It sounds too easy, but is it??!!
If it is that easy, does anyone know specifically which part I need to get? There are loads on eBay that
look like they'd do the job but I really need some help knowing
exactly which one! e.g. VW / AUDI ARMREST IPOD INTERFACE DOCK 1KO.857.925.B. or OEM VW iPod Center Console Tray 1K0857925B , DEVWI-8501-4 ...or something else?
Any wisdom would be really gratefully received.
