Mk6 electric steering issue

Hello

My 2009 Mk6 1.6 Diesel has got a steering issue

sometimes it is fine for days, then the yellow light or sometimes red light with steering wheel logo can come on, the wheel jerk, then it will drive fine

sometimes the light goes on, then goes off again, with no change in the steering

sometimes the light will be on when I start the engine, then go off after 10 seconds and be fine

do you think it is a loose connection or how do I fix this?

sometimes the light will come on if I go over a speed hump, or if I make a left turn when it is cold

and then it will go off again

Your first job to do is to get it scanned for fault codes. If the light has come on, there will more than likely be a code stored.

Have you checked the fluid level??
