Hi. I'm 95% sure my car is down on power because of a dodgy exhaust. It can't even redline in 4th. I'll be getting a new exhaust system very soon so that's not an issue. What's concerning me a bit is I read online that a forge007p can damage a turbo if the spring is too stuff because the turbo isn't creating enough power to open the valve once you let off the throttle. Because my car is down on power is that something I should be concerned about or am I worrying about nothing? It's only got the green spring in it so I guess I've got nothing to worry about considering this is the same setup that goes in the less powerful 150bhp models??

Thanks

Well I figure I might as well update my own thread and say I put the 007p on and it seems to work fine although I haven't taken it for a proper spin yet... Looks like I was just being paranoid. I suppose my dodgy exhaust wouldn't stop the turbo producing power anyway but this is all new to me and I like to be sure.

A DV wont damage a turbo unless it has a bugged piston

The thing I read that made me paranoid was someone saying they were losing boost on a yellow spring but forge had said that was the correct spring for his hp and if he went higher it could cause turbo damage, I presume from the piston not moving because there wasn't enough pressure. Just got me thinking (and worrying)

Well my car is not yet mapped and I'm using a yellow spring
