Should I sell my new gti and order an R

Hi folks I am very happy with my gti but with only 700 miles on the clock I find myself looking at the R on a daily basis and contemplating trading up!
My biggest concern is the fact I will obviously lose a lot of money on the gti and as I have been carefully running in the gti and have not yet used the car near to its full potential.
Should I keep the gti and be very happy or order the R in the hope it's gonna be even better???

you might find someone that does not want to wait get most of your money back on the gti

Personally Id at least enjoy your GTI for a bit like a couple of years you have spent the £ already and get the R then, something to look forward to.

I mean when I bought my GTI thats all I wanted and said I would be happy for years and years to come ( I had my previous car for like 10) but now after only 1.5 years I really want the R. So IF I bought the R where does it stop I'm saying now Id be happy with the R for years but would I or would I just start looking somewhere else.

Maybe your different but for me as soon as I get what I want I move on so at lest if you waited as mentioned its something to look forward to enjoy the power you have got then go get some more when you used to it.

My GTI has just been kitted with a nice new engine with 2 years warranty so for me I'm going to hold on to it for that long, then I'm getting an R.

Just hope someone gets one with all the spec listed so I can have it after a few years

I am the same as you mate, I have just got my gti and I am going to buy an R, just waiting to see how much they will give me in a trade in for march.

Is there a online price list for the R...?? We are about 1-2 weeks from getting our GTI and the dealer has mentioned a few times they could sell our order the minute it turns up......

There's no Configurator, but the VW price list is up to date with R pricing.

Thanks guys think I will phone dealer Monday just to see what they can do for me!
If anyone fancies jumping the queue for a gti let me know, spec as follows,
Pearl black 3dr, Performance pack, dsg, rev cam, keyless entry, service pack and 5 yr warranty.
Car was picked up 1st October, 700 miles on clock and kept in a heated garage. As new condition.
