Sorry to ask this if it has been asked before. I have put on a pipercross filter and am wondering what the
louvered panel is for in the box, it seems to be restricting the airflow. Can I remove it?
The car seems to pick up faster even with it there!

The air intake readout from the ECU says the temperature is 0.5 degrees warmer than that outside air, which is I guess down to the fact that in the standard car it's being drawn from the engine bay.   I might remove that plastic thing and do another run....

You testing out panel filters there Monsta? I'd be interested to see how the standard filter compares to panel filters if you are?

pipercross, K&N and VWR somewhere, and no doubt there will be a green cotton filter out soon.

Just be interesting to see not only what benefit the panel filters give but also to see how our air box compares against the previous gen and if it really is as good as they say it is
