One thing that bugs me is that the buttons for the mode select, auto stop/start and traction control are on the left side of the gear stick, so that I cant really see them when driving, and on the side I can see there is only the sensor switch, which I hardly use except at the end of a journey.

Unless you specced Park Assist which will also have the button on the right and will be needed before switching off the engine. Its a toss up really - it can be argued either way around...

Actually, another good reason for the RVC, as it seems to be really good in very low light levels and combined with the reverse lights gives a very clear view of what's behind you, even on a completely unlit country lane.

Complaints about the reversing lights - are you expecting the reversing lights to shine bright enough to light your path whilst travelling backwards? They're only meant to be bright enough to warn other users you are reversing.

Did you expect a set of Xenons on the back?  :whistle:

Not read the whole of this thread but I am getting pi$$ed off by how quickly the back of my GTi gets filthy. The rest of the car gets dirty this weather but the back!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry:

same with me, ive got a black one so the whole car gets dirty quickly but the back is horrifically dirty, haven't had a chance to clean it since getting it either.

Other than that, had absolutely no problems
