The flat area of the rear bumper does seem to be a bit of a crap trap, mucky water naturally settles there, not sure why VW couldn't have made it slope away from the boot rather than towards it.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

The latest annoyance for me is that the buzzing noise I was experiencing on acceleration has suddenly appeared back again. When I shift up and then accelerate this very strange noise appears and after a couple of seconds it's gone. Then I change up and accelerate again and it appears and so on. I had the car in for inspection several weeks ago and the technician had the dashboard out and was putting in more soundproofing but suffice to say it's not worked. I've captured a very short few seconds on video to show the noise in getting. Any suggestions what it could be?

http://youtu.be/aINu79FBrcM

Meant to say it sounds louder in the car than it does on the video plus it doesn't seem to be having any negative impact on performance. It's just bloody annoying

I get this too. Seems to be more prominent in Sport mode. More often than not it's there, but then just dissapears suddenly. Not keen on taking it in to have any of the dash messed about with for fear of it coming back with more problems that it went in with!

I have a very slight (not even sure its there) rattle when the fan is on medium to high levels, and it bugs me a little that mp3s from the SD card don't flow together seamlessly (there's a slight pause while the next song is loaded) but generally it's excellent.

It'd also be nice if you could choose whether it resumes music when you turn it on - so far it seems to start playing even if you had it muted when you stopped. Maybe I've just missed a setting though..

All 3 Golfs i've had do this although the mk7 was particularly bad.

Is that still an issue on the mk7?  It doesn't sound like it did before i had it replaced on the mk6, that sound came from outside the car.

Bloody squeal from the rear of the car when the car is reversed off the drive first thing in the morning, normally when its wet and possibly from the rear brake disc although I am not braking at the time. :undecided:
Golfgti build quality is average at best.
