Sluggish tdi130 bora 2003
« on: 12 November 2013, 11:33 »
Basically I have a tdi130 with custom map runs fine and has done for 6months.
This weekend I gave it a oil change and filter
Air filter and diesel filter.
Problem I have is felt fine for 30miles around town but when I went to work this morning
100miles away started playing up.
When sitting at 80mph runs ok hit a slight hill starts running lumpy pushing through that and pulls to 100+
Also getting it playing up at 50-60 in 4th/5th gear.
Had new maf sensor on air box about a year ago and red x cleaner this morning to see if that helps cheers

Are you getting any fault codes?
Also check the vacuum hoses, especially the one inside the ECU as i had the same issue with intermittent power loss especially when on full boost up hills on my 90bhp TDI and replacing the hoses resolved it.

Im not too sure about the PD130 but the majority of the hoses on mine were 3mm ID. Silicone replacement hose on ebay was only about £1.40 ish per metre.
