I think I'm going to get one of their customs. Cheers for the heads up :)

Your welcome  The exhaust sounds lovely, they the chap that did it even cut my back bumper really well for the twin exhaust end, therefore, I didn't need a V6 4 motion rear valence!

Do you live near Bridport then?

I've found a rear valance for 45 quid so I'm probably going to buy that so no chopping required but it's good to know they can if I need them to. One if the studs on my turbo has snapped but they said they'll fix that too. Nah I live in Hertfordshire so they put me in touch with their St. Albans workshop. The exhaust I've got on there is in a bad way and I was thinking of getting a decat downpipe and a catback exhaust but I think I'll get the custom with the sportscat and keep it all legal and looking real smart too.

Cool, they do nice exhaust systems that are much better than named stuff that is normally a couple of hundred quid or so more. I chose the sports cat to save the trouble of having to have to change it once every year.

They also do  custom remaps, they tried to get me to have one of theirs, but as I have an R Tech stage one, I thought I would stick with the masters of the 1.8t engine and get a stage 2 from them as well.

I've been thinking about remapping too. Want to get an induction kit and things like that before I do though obviously. What's the difference between stage 1 and 2?

I don't know what the difference is yet as I am booked in to have it done next Friday 22/11, But stage 1 was much better than I thought it was going to be. I couldn't stop grinning like a Cheshire cat!

Do you think I'd be better of getting the map done by top gear or at another tuner? Top gear must do a lot of maps I guess and mine wouldn't be the first 180 they done. I spoke to them and they said not to waste my money on the 4motion rear valance because they've done hundreds of cutouts and it will look decent. Saved me 60 quid. Also just ordered a ram air intake and some brakes :-)

Yeah, there is no point in spending money you don't need to, my cut out they did looks absolutely fine. If you send me an email address or phone number through pm, then I can text or email you a picture of how they did mine so you can have a look.

Ram air are brilliant, you can really hear the air being sucked in!

As for remaps, I don't know what your Top Gear is like. All I know is that they do custom remaps and they cost £300. Personally I would use R Tech because they have all the best reviews and they really do an excellent job. Plus, I think they know the 1.8t engines better than most other tuning companies and they will tell you what other things to get, or what you will likely to be needing soon after the remap to compensate for the more power. oh yeah, R-Tech have a rolling road too!

Well they wouldn't make you a very good map without a rolling road :) but yeah, you're probably right. I think I'll get my pipe done and then look for a decent tuner in my area
