can anyone tell me what type of remote cable I need to run between my HU (Sony) and my amplifyer?

Is it just a standard electrical cable or are they special connections??

sometimes the remote cable is glued between the 2 RCA cables mate. have a good look. Its just a small thin wire. doesnt have to be anything special.
