BMW i3

I might buy one if I like the test drive in November.  Or a Nissan GTR.  Which is best?

Quite a difference between them two.

Make sure you properly look into the costs of a gtr. It's proper super car costs for maintenance I.e you will be spending a few grand just on consumables such a tyres or disks or pads when they need replacing. Not cheep at all. And that's if something Doesent go wrong.

Great cars if you can afford it though.

Am I the only one that thinks the GTR is overhyped when compared to what it handles and performs with cars on a similar level like the vag TT-RS after a remap, plus it weighs a lot.

The i3 is a total extreme compared a performance car, its an electric car... It has a range of 80-100 miles unless you buy the range extender which is a generator with a 9L tank think it then does 230miles max, but thats max, unless you opt for grinding the footwell and using your feet flinstones style. Then the charging station is something to consider, theres two types and I'd love to know the cost as on the Nissan Leaf it practically cost as much as the car.

TBH you need to decide what you want, if its performance I wouldn't get the GTR, if its i3, consider a Micra or a pushbike.

My mate has a GTR running approx 650bhp

Its in a different league to pretty much anything this side of a hypercar.  It is HUGE mind!!  Still cracks 0-60 in under 3 seconds. Got some VBOX figures from my mate somewhere but I think 130 came up in approx 11 seconds

TTRS has like 335bhp?   there is no comparison IMO even if you map them. However, over the twisty mountain roads a Clio 182 is just as quick simply because the car is too big

Twice the GTR has been to Litchfield and twice my mates wallet has been emptied lol. Front discs and pads first visit, rears the second visit

Think he is averaging 22mpg which given its power and size is not too shabby!!

TTRS mapped is definitely in the quick league. Plus it doesn't weigh as much as GTR I'm sure there's plenty of videos of the GTR getting molestered by many other Cars due too it's lard a$$

Look at both cars stock, TT isn't much slower so think what the remap does:

Also what about people moaning how lame the handling actually is on the GTR?

Also here's a good video of Johnny Cocker in his 600bhp RS, btw his a racing driver, he is actually a friend of my mate who so happen to has a TTRS as well, both of them have been tuning the crap out of both their TT's, you can see how the weight difference now makes a difference and I will garantee you the handling of the TTRS is a mile better. And Im, sure after a remap it will eat the GTR and it did in Johnny's and my mates case.
