KERBSIDE MIRROR SETTING

Can I just check the logic on this....

1. Car in reverse
2. Left hand mirror switch selected
3. Left hand mirror adjusted to suit...
4. Car in first gear & drive off
5. Mirror re-sets to normal driving position
6. Mirror switch now selected to de-frost

If I now select reverse, mirror doesnt go to the reverse setting....

I have to select left hand mirror....

This is damn annoying...in every other car I have had with this feature, the mirror sets to the reverse position when reverse gear is selected, regardless of where the switch is..! (or have I missed something....! lol)

VW have missed something    despite 2 software tries mine still won't work , so thought
while I am waiting for the next tech Bulletin ,I bought a shaving Mirror (carbon finish ) and cut
a broom handle in two ,wrapped in foil and attached together with carbon affect tape ,works well,
bit draughty though

Yup, the mirror switch NEEDS TO STAY on the L for kerb view to work.

It seems convenient for me.
If you are reverse parking then its ideal for the mirror to be dipped to see the pavement but if you are reversing out a parking space, I much prefer the mirror looking straight behind.
Having the option is the best of both worlds.
