The p1 is only 280bhp 252lbft and weighs 1750kg and the extra transmission loss of 4wd

Whereas a golf with 250bhp and 310lbft weighing 1400kg......

they do but still hold the road better than any of the 4 motions i have owned an as said my old wagon would destroy my golf an the old police interceptor i had would prob do the same

The mk4 platform can handle well it just takes work!
All you have to do is look at prawns a3, on a recent track day he was keeping with a track spec scooby.
And now mine has the cage in and is stripped it handle quite nice

and lots of money  an his a3 is running near 360bhp big difference from our golfs
