Indicator flash on locking **Sorted***
« on: 17 October 2013, 21:11 »
Finally managed to sort my locking faults out  bought and fitted 2 new door modules and now have, puddle lights, lights on chime and all interior lights working as they should,my only problem is on unlock the indicators flash twice as they did but on locking there is no indicator flash alarm led lights up as normal tho,now i have read a few things about this and have taken the bonnet microswitch out and re-cleaned etc disconnected the multi plug and locked the car with the fob still no flash,so had a quick look on my shareware version of vag-com and been into
46 Cent Convinience and gone into adaption values and it seems channel 08-lock-turn signals flash is switched on! looking for some help please as i'm now a little stumped as to why no conformation flash

Also just to add i fitted a new bootlatch last week as the old one was broken so the bootlight works now also,so somehow something is telling the system somethings open?

Had a look at the relay plate under the steering wheel as its been mentioned these can cause an issue found the two 15amp fuses and both were okay  :undecided: so removed both and locked no flash on lock or unlock,re-fitted the rh side fuse and tried again no lock flash and the usual unlock flash tried the other way round and same result only an unlock flash.

Glad i'm not alone then

Well i managed to get a payed up version today so re-scanned and after some more searching i found that my new ccm module (exact part as old one)is coded for a 4 door/power windows model,so i re-coded mine with correct code for a 2 door/power windows model now have no codes  so enabled auto lock/un-lock,horn beeps on lock/un-lock i  still have no flash or beep but this led me onto my bonnet catch/switch which is i find to be problematic so i tried this taken from a post on uk-mkiv's :

found out a little something for people that dont have a beep for when they lock

lock your car with the driver window open and pop the bonnet if the alarm doesnt go off you may be on to something

lift your bonnet with the car still lock and you will see inside the latch at the bottom middle a little sensor with a switch on the top try bushing that down and see if you get a bleep or set the alarm off

if it does it's faulty next try unlocking the car push the switch down and lock the car and if you beep you know what you need to change Cool

hope this help Big Smile

pretty sure my microswitch is faulty plus my catch has to be loosened to lock the bonnet,so will be ordering a new catch/loom assembly from vw i hope this solves it
