Sold my previous Golf GT on Pistonheads. Sold really quickly with no hassle.

Will be putting my Scirocco on Pistonheads again. God willing it sells quickly.
Current: BMW M140i / ZF8 / 5 DR
Past: MK7 GTI / DSG / WHITE / 5 DR

Got a webuyanycar.com quote and then decided they were going to shaft me (i.e. I turn up expecting to do the deal and they find reasons to reduce the offer knowing I'll be under pressure to accept it).

Then looked into p/x with VW (and then BMW) or selling back to my original Ford dealer.

Finally offered it to my sister and my Dad.  My Dad wanted it.

This was great for me because without middle men the price was good for both of us, and also because it was no hassle as my Dad was willing to pay a few days in advance so funds could clear for the new car without my being carless for a few days.  The downside to selling to someone you know is if something goes wrong with the car I'm going to feel responsible, but we both know the history and I handed it over with a full tank, 12 months MOT and tax and a good clean inside and out so he's pretty happy.

Nah, was a Fiesta mk7 (Zetec S, not ST).

Getting in a more powerful car was very liberating!
