Just re-read your initial post. Have you tried just removing the broken stud while turbo is still attached? Or is there not enough of it sticking out to grab on to (Thats what she said).
Ha, no can't really tell until I take the downpipe off, if I can then result, but I'm preparing for the worst, doesn't look like too much of a bad job just fiddly, once the downpipes out the way there should be bags of room
