« on: 10 October 2013, 13:29 »
OK i have an anniversary petrol golf running stage 2 R-tech on the way home last night my car decided to through the traction light and epc light on it wouldn't rev up and the car sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders
After turning the car off and restarting it everything was back to normal run fine all the way home 30 miles.
when we scanned it there was no fault as anyone had this happen to them just dont want this happening again on the motorway cheers.....

Have you had the coil pack recall carried out?

Give it a scan and post the codes. More than likely coil related.

Sounds like it went into limp mode, which would suggest a pressure drop.

When was the oil pickup pipe changed? Or has it ever been done?

surely it would of registered a fault code if gone into limp mode i'd of thought.

You scanned it using VCDS or a hand held device?
