Shark fin roof antenna (mk6) is it for sat nav?

My car has the shark fin antenna at the rear of the roof but only has an RCD 510 radio, not sat nav. Is the antenna just there for cars with sat nav, meaning it's likely a previous owner has removed it?

Although the Match that I had as a courtesy car, had DAB and bluetooth and no shark fin, and a neighbours 2009 SE that has Nav and no DAB or bluetooth, has one.

This is what i suspected. I suppose a previous owner has removed the sat nav before he sold it.

I have no Sat Nav on my GTD (2010) but i do have the "Shark Fin".  Maybe it was fitted to all GTI/D's?

My wife has a 2013 Polo and has DAB and Bluetooth, but only a Bee Sting Aerial.
