Hahaha I have don't worry! I don't have time to have a go at it till this weekend, I shall let you know what happens! Reckon it's worth unplugging it and giving it a run without the maf and see if there's any difference?

I think I have the same problem, if you unplug the maf and it runs ok can you leave it like that or do you have to get a new maf?

Best to replace it as it will be running at a default over rich setting. Get one from the main dealers

A few days after I bought my car I noticed the maf plug was plugged in properly so I plugged it back in, so I don't know how long it was unplugged for could it of damaged something?

Running for a long period like that could possibly damage your cat and foul up your lambdas

So I gave the car a service oil, coilpacks, spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body and the car seems fine now doesn't hesitate at all it's only been a few days so if it starts again will be looking to replace the maf
