The R looks the mutts in white with the gloss black wing mirrors.

I am going to look at picture comparisons between the white GTD and this. The main differences seems to be the front bumper, the thicker line under the lights, the gloss black wing mirrors and the wheels.

But it's the front bumper making the biggest change?

I would say it would not be too hard changing bumpers between the GTD/I and the R when parts become available? (If you wanted the look on an 'R')

Would you say the GTD/I bumpers look more aggressive though?

Not sure about wheels on white, they look a little like the A3 Sline ones of which the Nogaro turned my head far more and one of reasons went the GTD wy, but love the wheels on the blue and the blue itself is colour I would have by choice out of all that VW offer.

Having said all that, and I understand the mention of is it aggressive enough, but as a fan of understated with hints of what is on offer, I love the R completely with the peformance and all the little additions an R offers.

However do think the GTD and GTI do not lie behind it at all in looks stakes.

Now one of those beauties would make me buy a golf again

I prefer the wheels on the white one though as the alloys on the other one are too blingy for my taste.

Looks stunning. I'm surprised people haven't been tempted to hold off on the GTI and wait for one of these instead. Did I hear right that they are starting at around £30,000? Pretty much the same as a GTI with a few optional extras and with the massive waiting lists on builds...

Liking the blue and and it has to be those wheels for the R!

I wonder why the water bottle is in a different place to the GTI? Something to do with the 4WD system maybe?
