2 years I think.
It’s an august 1988 car, so my understanding is it’ll need 2 more MOTs- and will be exempt for tax from April 2029

Just realised it’s a 37 year old car. My maths isn’t what it once was- I’m growing old like my cars!

Major service at VW main dealer, with brake fluid change, it does feel a little smoother to drive?

Fitted some actual winter tyres and drove to the northern most part of The Netherlands, where it’s been dumping fresh powder every day. Fair to say that my PS4S’ would’ve killed me by now. Bonus: there is something oddly satisfying about a white car on fresh snow.

Finally, after 10 years, manufactured my Footrest cover. Some of you older members may remember I did the stainless Footrests and Seat Inserts way back in 2008. Still got a ton left, keep meaning to do a Auto Jumble at one of the shows.

Anyway, we got a fancy 3D printer to make bespoke parts. First thing I did was find my old CAD dxf for the MK7. Import in SolidWorks. Bit of extruding, create file for 3d and let it go.

Been meaning to get it laser cut since 2016 but quite happy with this.

Previous rides..MKIV 1.8T   MKIV PD150  MK5 GTI MK5 edition30 now MK7 GTI PP
