I wonder if the “genuine” TCR red ringed caps I sourced from e- bay are in fact knock-offs of the wrong size?

Do they have the VW part number on the reverse side? If not then they’re not the genuine article.

Those are Belvedere alloys and forum member @Watts has confirmed the genuine VW red ringed centre caps do fit the genuine VW Belvedere, Brescia and Santiago alloys

Thanks for clearing this up. I’ve obviously been sold something else although they do seem to have all the authentic VW stuff embossed on the reverse. Maybe they just don’t fit Parker’s.

Perhaps something has changed as all the wheels I quoted were originally MK7 wheels, I havent tried a set on my Reifnitz wheels.

Test drove a nicely specced TCR today with DCC and Performance Pack, I wasn’t expecting to feel a huge difference but having done about 100 miles back in my own car since I’m starting to notice the differences. The TCR just felt a lot tighter is the best way I can describe it, also the DCC was really quite nice. If anything I’m now more confused as to whether or not I should go for it

Go and have another test drive. Can't be that much to change given what you have?

Changed the oil and filter from the dsg gearbox yesterday, I suspected that parkway Volkswagen derby had over filled the gearbox as under hard acceleration it would chuck oil up though the breather on top of the gearbox made a right mess, and sure enough it was over filled by quite a bit, the dsg service was pretty easy to do, the hardest part was getting the undertray off due to a rusty seized bolt I had to drill out

The biggest issue is given what I owe on mine id be more or less doubling my finance which I don’t think it’s worth double the cost. I think for what I’d spend extra on the first year I could spend on some OEM mods and get 80/90% of the way there with my current car. But the FOMO is real.
