Bought a bottle of genuine VW Haldex Diff Oil ready to service the diff and clean the pump filter in my Clubsport.

Managed to grab a bottle off Ebay for 20 quid, I'm in the trade and TPS wanted £39 +vat.

Anybody done this as I'm reading conflicting guides which some say you have to perform a pump relearn after changing the oil and cleaning the pump filter??

I’d be interested to see what the filter is like some say the diff doesn’t have a filter or not required cleaning unless the diff is used a lot.

The pump has a small gauze filter on the end which people say to clean whilst doing a fluid change.

Cant fathom if a pump relearn is strictly necessary though which is why im holding off doing mine yet as no VCDS.

The way I understood it was that it works in the same way as half a FWD Haldex system, this means when (?if) the diff fluid is changed then you should do it in the same way as a Haldex fluid change and renew the filter as it usually comes in the change kit.

Booked the car in for some window tinting and I'm very tempted to book a photoshoot for it as well, after having one the other night for another car.

Teasers below not Golf related though.

Madstaff, this may be helpful?

These chaps are OBDeleven agents and only use it to check the fluid temp before draining, i am not aware of the need to recallibrate?

Nice E30, it has the appearance of a Sport Evo, is it a real one?

(as in a modified/upgraded E30 M3)

I you don't have access to VagCom, you have no option but to drain, blow out & refill the diff without removing the pump, for now?

When I had the diff serviced on my previous GTi PP, I know the VW main dealer, only drained and refilled.

Thanks, seen that.

Edit to add, looking on OBD eleven under lock elctronics, there appears to be an adaptation for resetting diff and pump motor. I haven;t tried this however to see if it is succesful.
