I did. It started to get grubby looking, dirt got under it, so I ripped them off! I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be removed as part of PDI or not....

Yes, i  asked the dealer and he says all three door cars have it,did it come of easily and cleanly.?

Yeah it was just a strip of clear plastic. Peeled off easily and i just polished the paint underneath.
The edges of it had already started picking up dirt or grit and it looked naff.... They'd surely go yellowish and very scruffy after a while. I didn't see the point of them being there at all.

Yes and it will get in the way when polishing or waxing, i think i may remove mine as i can not see why it is actually there.

Exactly. To be honest, I thought it was just something the dealers forgot to remove in the PDI. No need for it.

Any chance if a picture of these?  I'm wondering if they are some sort of protection.  Some models of Audi A1 have clear plastic strip on the side of the bodywork for protection.

Maybe to stop the door edge rubbing the paint off the sill or stone chips if on the sill.

It's obviously been left on by the dealers for some reason so if I have them (which I will need to check) I'll be keeping them on
