New Golf owner - Multiple questions
« on: 08 September 2013, 20:31 »
Hi Guys,

New owner here!

Just traded my Audi A4 Avant for a 2001 Golf 2.0 GTI.

Few questions ..

My audi had an anti hijack feature - doors lock after 10mph .. how do i turn this on?

My audi had an audible beep on lock, it was activated via vagcom and some software (Rosstech i think) - Can i turn this on the golf?

My audi windows would roll up once i locked the car and held the lock key .. can the golf do this? even if i have to turn it on?

My electric mirrors appear not to be working, is this common or an easy fix? - twisting the knob does nothing :(

Glovebox light isnt working! Im assuming there all plugged in by default and i just need to change a bulb, any idea on size?

Thank you very much in advance :)

oh any anybody local to Suffolk, beer tokens for anybody who can do it!

Hello,

Anti-hijack and alarm chirps can be enabled using vagcom, auto windows cannot be enabled though.

Have you checked the fuse for the mirrors? I think it's #14.

Glovebox light is a 36mm festoon bulb.

Main fuse box, open the drivers door. On a panel covered by a little plastic door on the side of the dashboard.
I thought Volkswagens were supposed to be reliable?

auto windows can only be enabled on immo3 equipped cars and you need another program, not VCDS or VAG TACHO

That's interesting, don't suppose you know what the software is? Mine is immo3 and its one thing I miss about my mk3
