Knocking noise
« on: 05 September 2013, 16:14 »
Aryt boys, have a knocking noise on my car only sounds on full lock and on bumps / potholes it comes from front right? what do you guys reckon it is?

On bumps it rattles and sounds like something is loose

on full lock it groans / knocks

Driveshaft only thing I can think of really :\

Could be one of many things tbh, ARB bushes are a possibility

jack the car up and check the front wishbone rear bushes. they are prone to splitting due to them having voids and not being solid rubber. Also other possible cause is knackered strut tops.

Just done this on mine. Was lose ball joint and the driver side ARB bush was shot to pieces! sounded like someone shacking a tin can with a marble in it
