Hello all.....

Please don't think I am daft, and I don't own a VW so sorry if intruding a little premature, but looking for some advice...

I want to buy a decent Golf, and I have no idea where to start!!!! Never owned one before and have up to about 10k to spend, what do you think I should look for, which are the ones to avoid etc...

Any help greatfully received!!

Flower

Hi Flower, welcome to the club/forum. With 10k you can buy yourself a wicked golf, really depends on what model you after? Is this going to be your primary car or second car? Once you have figured out the model you want, I am sure alot of people here will help you find one and what to look for.

Have a look at the different model sections Golf Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4 and MK5 and see which car you think you would like to get...

Thanks for the welcome....

I would love a Mk1 (My dad had one when I was really young, I don't remember it but he still talks about it now!!) Not sure how well they run these days now though....worried about the age thing, although I do see myself driving a classic..maybe...???

I don't know have come in search of inspiration really!!

:D

Howdy!!

Each one has its own charm and appeal, best bet is to test drive each one if you can to see what you like and what you want out of it.

10K is a fair budget so you're likely to find a good one!!! Wish i had 10K.........
