Its basically increasing the car's power so you go faster and have more power for overtaking!!

Does your company stipulate if the car has to be new for 10K or can it be second hand ? If it has to be new then your Golf choices are a non starter and the only option I can see would be one of the South African mk1s. If it doesn't have to be new then that's a good budget to get a nice golf, you then need to decide what you need it for, e.g. if you travel a lot of miles then a diesel would be a sensible choice etc.  

Revo'd means that a tuning company changes the cars computer brain by re-mapping it so that it can go faster !   So buy one up to 9k and spend the other 1k on a revo remap and a shiney new exhaust !
