Does your company stipulate if the car has to be new for 10K or can it be second hand ? If it has to be new then your Golf choices are a non starter and the only option I can see would be one of the South African mk1s. If it doesn't have to be new then that's a good budget to get a nice golf, you then need to decide what you need it for, e.g. if you travel a lot of miles then a diesel would be a sensible choice etc. ÂÂÂ

Revo'd means that a tuning company changes the cars computer brain by re-mapping it so that it can go faster ! ÂÂÂ

So buy one up to 9k and spend the other 1k on a revo remap and a shiney new exhaust ! ÂÂÂ
